Once upon a time, there lived a rabbit and a tortoise in a forest. By the nature, rabbit was very active and ran very speed; and the tortoise was too slow. The rabbit was also very proud of his great speed and endurance.
One day, the rabbit asked the tortoise for a race. He said “My dear tortoise, will you like to have a rest to the end of the forest”. Tortoise replied “No, my friend; I have so many works”. Listening to this, the rabbit again replied “What a boring creature you are, it will take not a big time and it will be a fun”.
Tortoise agreed and both of them reached to the starting point. The Rabbit was getting very excited to fail the tortoise. Race begin and as thought, the rabbit ran very faster and was far away from tortoise. Tortoise was also moving in his slow movement.
When the rabbit was about to reach the winning post, he saw that the tortoise is too far. Rabbit was sure that he will win the race, so he decided to sleep for a while. He thought “This tortoise will take a long tim to reach here, till then let us have a nap”. Thinking this, the rabbit slept under a tree.
The tortoise was slowly moving but was continuous. Rabbit fell into a deep sleep. When he was asleep, tortoise moved ahead from the rabbit. In no time he was at the winning post and was declared as the winner.
Suddenly rabbit woke up and saw the tortoise as a winner. He was shocked and asked the tortoise “You were too slow, but how did you won”? Tortoise replied with a smile “My friend, I was slow but was continuously moving; you were faster but due to overconfidence you slept”.
The rabbit realised his fault and egoist nature. He apologise to the tortoise and learnt a lesson.
So kids here the story ends. It was a very thrilling and moral story.
Moral of the Story:-
Slow and steady wins the race; doesn’t matters that you are slow or fast, you need to be continuous. One who implies this thing in his life is always the winner.
